The ‘New Deal’ approach is not just about economic stimulus. It’s about creating a fairer society at the end of it. It’s about a fundamental realignment. Jersey must look beyond just GVA figures when planning our economic stimulus #NewDealForJersey twitter.com/novaramedia/st…

Roosevelt's New Deal was a political and legislative intervention that tipped the balance of power away from capital and towards labour.

Important new data and numbers from the office of national statistics in the UK. Just thought I would share this

Their data shows that mortality has finally fallen back to the average for this time of year, after a huge spike in March/April (covid related cases etc)

QUESTION: My first oral question was to the Cheif Minister on the urgent issue of his government bringing forward his policy on population/migration to the assembly for debate & how C19 has affected the work. Answer: November & not sure

    Senator Sam Mézec · @SamMezecJsy

Cecil Rhodes was a white supremacist who left a legacy of hate and exploitation in Africa, the consequences of which are still being felt today.

It is therefore wrong for a school in Jersey to celebrate him by having a house named after him. It should be changed.

NEWS: Now official, I’ve returned to the Economic & International Affairs Scrutiny Panel. As explained this was always the intention. My focus will be as well as supporting the panel a focus on the charity & arts sector as I’ve got major concerns. With thanks to @KirstenJersey
