The desire to control is the root of domestic abuse...
A good professional presentation but those present didn't exude much support for the proposals - shall we just forget this constant naval gazing and get on with the business of government! twitter.com/deputyalves/st…

In conversation with Martin Toft about his Jerriais exhibition at CCA Galleries Jersey @ccagalleries
I would like to personally thank the Prime Minister for her engagement, support and appreciation of Jersey’s constitutional and policy interests throughout the Brexit process. I'm confident our interests will continue to be recognised by her successor.
Ironically someone called my home landland number to have a go why my no & home address are not in the new @JTsocial phonebook

The importance of skills development is highlighted as, across the world, an extraordinary jobs boom is under way. Tight labour markets are providing enhanced bargaining power and increased pay for workers. twitter.com/theeconomist/s…
In many countries unemployment has disappeared from the political landscape https://t.co/3LDyzHaQbP
An enjoyable meeting with a group of Texan law students from @TAMU who’ve been examining the concept of sovereignty through the lens of the Channel Islands’ financial services industry and the impact of Brexit.
MORNING: Would like to start today by paying tribute & thanking the @JsyFire & particularly Green watch. Who after their final 15 hour night shift dealt with multiple emergency calls of fires, road traffic collisions & assisting the Ambulance Service. Thank you for your service.

We are excited to announce a new @SesameCommunity initiative to support foster children, foster parents, & providers who serve foster families. With the help of Karli, a Muppet in foster care, these resources aim to reassure children & help them feel safe. https://t.co/Vtpl1rOh1g
An absolute tragic most despicable act of abuse, from a system & workers there to care for the most vulnerable of adults suffering from mental illness. We must ensure this never the case here in Jersey & provide fit for purpose facilities. Brave reporting by #Panorama twitter.com/bbcpanorama/st…

Today it’s important to stop & connect your heart with the victims still in recovery from the cowardly act of evil in Manchester & to the 22 souls lost that day.
Also remembering Lee Rigby who was murdered 6 years ago on this day. Our hearts are with their families
Urge everyone to watch this powerful & moving truthful speech from the Constable of St Peter 👇🏼 twitter.com/StatesAssembly…
The Constable of St. Peter, Richard Vibert, speaks very articulately and bravely about his own personal struggles with #mentalhealth. You can listen to what he said when the webcast is uploaded this afternoon, here: https://t.co/o1nP8XT9kl #MentalHealthAwareness #StatesAssembly
Attending World Bank conference today looking at financial services for the poor, travel to a Refugee Camp with Red Cross tomorrow and then visit the place where JOA volunteers will be working in July-in Lebanon @JerseyOAC
Again my next question, grateful for the Chief Ministers response. It’s good to see the recognition that the money allocated to fix the urgent issues to support Orchard House & it seems action is taking place. Will speak on this issue later during our debate on #MentalHealth twitter.com/statesassembly…
Deputy @KevinPamplin is asking the CM @John_Le_Fondre what action, if any, @GovJersey has taken following the meeting he and other Ministers had with the Deputy at Orchard House on 26th April 2019 re the current state of the facility. #MentalHealthAwareness #StatesAssembly
Pleased to hear the Ministers clear support for Dewberry House. This invaluable service with support of @JerseyPolice is such a crucial lifeline to many victims. The funding for a children’s service is also crucial & hope the communication & support to the team is more vocal twitter.com/statesassembly…
Deputy @KevinPamplin is asking the Minister for Home Affairs Constable @Len_Norman whether additional funding for Dewberry house has been agreed, and if so, when it’ll be available, and if not, why not. #SexualAssualt #MeToo
Here are the answers (if you can call them that) to this sittings written questions.

In response to my question the Home Affairs Minister has confirmed that plans to allow mixed-sex couples access to civil partnerships will be brought to the @StatesAssembly by the middle of 2020. Fantastic news!
