Support for what when the work is already being undertaken? What are the aims and objectives you are seeking?

Look forward to your support with the Alderney runway 😉 twitter.com/gavinstpier/st…

@AlexSnowdon5 Excellent, look forward to your support then.

The amendment is, after consultation, as you will recognise phrased to be complementary and to recognise existing work by P&R and the States of Alderney - albeit providing a direction to report back to the States on agreed timeline.

@PeterRoffey5 @Alderneytruths1 @guernseyliz14 @Fokker27500200 @captainpipkin @YvonneBurford We must honour our commitments but we should perhaps review them given the passage of so much time since they were made. When that agreement was made, for example, we still had capital punishment. Laws must reflect their times.

Regulation in last two years has killed the industry in Guernsey too - and no-one in government is remotely concerned or interested. Huge investment has been wasted. It needs vision, courage and leadership to cut through the bureaucratic nonsense - and there is none. twitter.com/_ross_hunter/s…

    Delaying Sursis Motive

    I understand-
NO consultation with STSB, P&R, CfED
    NO consultation with @States_Alderney

Living on Alderney would answer your question.
Our seas are the roughest and we would be cut off for weeks let alone daily travel .

Has the SOG upgraded its public liability considering the constant of kicking this down the road.

If not I would suggest an immediate upgrade today as the life and economic consequences, could be enormous should, God forbid, should an incident occur due the dangerous state. twitter.com/AlexSnowdon5/s…

    Just discovered this old picture.

First works starts on Alderney aerodrome in 1935 with Judge Robert (‘R. W.’) Mellish dug the first sod at 11.15am-Monday 1 April 1935

Reality check. Estimated cost of proposed modest extension to Ald runway = £6.25M. Ald contributes £3.5M directly and the Gsy[joint] exchequer £2.75M. Revenue savings as a result = £800K per year. No. of ATR 72-600 take off / landings on this length runway = 4,600 this year.
